About C.T. Pan

Cheng-Tsung Pan was introduced to the game of golf when he was five years old by his mother, who caddied at a local Taiwanese golf course. At fifteen, he became the youngest US Amateur quarterfinalist since Bobby Jones. Pan then went on to play for the men’s golf team at the University of Washington, where he won eight events. From there, he turned professional in 2015.

Pan quickly started making waves on the PGA TOUR Canada, where he earned his first professional win at The Players Cup in 2015. In September of that year, he won his second professional win at the Cape Breton Celtic Classic.

In 2016, Pan became the first PGA TOUR player to make it into the TOUR playoffs from The Greater China region. He made it to the BMW Championship, the second to last leg of the playoff run.

During Pan’s 2016-2017 PGA TOUR rookie season he ended in the top ten in three tournaments, including tied for 2nd place at the Farmers Insurance Open. During the 2017-18 TOUR season, he played 30 events, advanced in 22 events, and placed top 10 in 25 events. Pan placed 35th overall in the FedEx Cup ranking, 53 places ahead of the previous year.

In April 2019, Pan won his first PGA TOUR title at RBC Heritage on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Pan became the second Taiwanese golfer to win on the PGA TOUR after 32 years. In addition, Pan had the honor of becoming the first International Team Member of the Presidents Cup from Chinese Taipei in December 2019.
